Products with Nutrition Facts Panel
This group includes all consumer packaged goods (CPG) and fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) with a Nutrition Facts labeling requirement.
According to the US Food & Drug Administration (FDA), food labeling is required for most prepared foods, such as breads, cereals, canned and frozen foods, snacks, desserts, drinks, etc. Nutrition labeling for raw produce (fruits and vegetables) and fish is voluntary. the FDA refers to these products as "conventional" foods.
Virtually all food and beverage items for human consumption are included and required to present a Nutrition Facts Panel. Exceptions are those products that must provide a Supplement Facts Panel, or products such as beer, wine and spirits which are not (generally) regulated by the FDA.
You will be asked to indicate whether your product is fresh, frozen, refrigerated or shelf stable and to provide an image file of your Nutrition Facts Panel when creating your Product Profile.
